Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has dismissed calls to remark the 2016 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams following the significant drop in performance that was witnessed.
Speaking at the annual launch of Equity Bank’s Wings to Fly education sponsorship program, Dr Matiang’i stated that the results were credible adding that they would continue enacting reforms in the education centre.
“We were severely criticised for the strict education reforms we instituted…. Prophets of doom won’t stop us from levelling ground for all children no matter tribe and region,” Matiang’i affirmed.
The Education CS also announced that they would present the proposed new curriculum to stakeholders soon.
