Citizen TV Sport journalist Waihiga Mwaura on Friday disclosed what totally shocked him during his trip to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for the 2016 Olympics.
In a detailed account highlighting his experience in Rio, Mwaura narrated that upon jetting into the South American nation, culture shock slapped him hard on the face.
He divulged that the scanty mode of dressing in the country was an entirely strange scene for him adding that “spotting someone who is decently dressed (by Kenyan standards) has become a rare occurrence”.
“Since I landed here three weeks ago I have been searching for the Brazilian national dress. Ideally it should be the most common piece of clothing that I would see people wearing. But what I have found is that shorts especially tiny ones that leave little to the imagination are all the rage here,” he stated.
