The second startling observation Mwaura made was that the Brazilians never flush tissue paper in the toilet. He mentioned that there were signs all over warning people not to flush any paper or plastic in the washrooms.
“When in Brazil never flush your tissue paper in the toilet or the drainage could choke up leading to nasty surprises,” he said.
Thirdly, Mwaura was astounded by how couples were publicly displaying their emotions towards each other, contrary to the Kenyan culture which is a bit reserved.
“They are not afraid of public displays of affection and young people will show their love to each other no matter where they are from the beach to the streets and to the shopping malls”.
