Whats up! Kenyans panic after ” Nyeri Governor ” trends again

The former Deputy Governor, who assumed office after the tragic road accident that killed Governor Wahome Gakuru, was on Friday addressing a meeting at the Nyeri County hall.

Governor Kahiga addressed a congregation ahead of the 6th Annual Conference of Constitutional Commissions & Independent Offices scheduled to take place on December 5 and 6.

Commenting on the topic of the day, the Governor stated: “Kenya is the most legislated country in Africa. But are Kenyans Constitutional? Are Kenyans supporting the CCs and IOs to perform their Constitutional mandates?”

Governor Kahiga is a former teacher whose swearing-in caused much debate as many believed that it was rushed with ulterior motives.

Nyeri MPs came to the Governor’s defence outlining that they had forced his hand in the matter to avoid a vacuum of office in the county’s administration.

He was sworn-in on November 13 while his predecessor was given a State burial on November 18.

Former President Mwai Kibaki, President Uhuru Kenyatta, DP William Ruto, governors and cabinet secretaries were among those in attendance.
